Last week I became another year older. My sweetie has always made this special day extraordinary. I will talk about our special weekend together in another post. But in this posting I would like to chat about my very special friends from around the world. I believe that "Friends Are Flowers In Life's Garden"! I feel very grateful to have these special friends think about me on My Special Day by calling me, sending me Internet birthday greeting cards and messages and I am always humbled to receive truly lovely gifts from them too.
The bottom photo is of the lovely singing birthday greeting card my Mom sent me. My favorite flower are roses and this card had truly beautiful roses on it.
The next photo up has a lovely Aboriginal Art Tea Towel, note pads, and a beautiful photo book of Australia. I love looking at photos of Australia.
The second photo is of a beautiful artful ruched "Carnation" card created from beautiful pink Mokuba Picot Ribbon. It is very lovely and I will treasure it forever. I also have some more wonderful beads to add to my collection.
Another lovely gift from Australia is seen in the top two photos. I lovely art Pin that is very pretty. Has anyone heard of Scissoroo? I had not. My Sis told me they are newly out on the market in Australia and made in South Australia. Sis told me mine was the first ones shipped to the USA.. Lucky me. VBG The scissors have a unique shape of a "Kangaroo"!! Pretty neat, hey? I will treasure them forever. I thought the Tin Box they came in was as unique as the scissor.
I truly feel that the "Glory of Friendship" is not the out-stretched hand, nor the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is a "Spiritual Inspiration" that comes to one when she discovers that someone else believes in her and is willing to trust their friendship with her. Every true friend is a glimpse of God. Thank you My Dear Friends for your thoughtfulness and kindness on my special day.
