HELLO EVERYONE,
I am pretty excited because I made my very first "Something Pretty" blocks yesterday. Yes I did.
I am pretty new at crocheting so to create these first blocks gives me a "Big Happy Smile"!!
So I hope all My Blogging Friend will follow along with me in My Journey of creating "My First Crocheted Throw"...
"The Beginning"!
What do you all think so far??

But I did not accomplish this by myself. I had some help from my crocheting blogging friend Jen.... from
"Lavender and Wild Rose" who also created this wonderful "Something Pretty" Blanket...
Jen was very kind to take the time from her busy day to help me... I was having a difficult time to figuring out how to finish the flower cluster petal. So Jen did a wee tutorial for me on how to do this petal cluster..on her blog.
Please click "Here" to see Jen's "Something Pretty Blanket"... which is truly gorgeous and was my inspiration.. to try and make mine....
The original pattern was created and can be found at "Millie Makes"...
When I finished this "Something Pretty" Blanket it will be put on the back of My Sofa to bring lots of color to the Living Room....

I decided to make My "Something Pretty" Blanket with 7 different very pretty pastel colors using "Encore Plymouth Yarn" Knitted Worsted weight.. I have never used this yarn before and it is so lovely and soft to the touch..
The light beige color will surround the lovely flowers. The pastel Green Color will connect all the blocks together..
Doesn't all the colors look so glorious together???

I bought all the yarn for "Something Pretty" blanket from the "Grand Emporium Knitting Studio" in Saginaw, Mi..
The first photo is the display of all the Encore Yarn with almost every color.. More found around the shop...
The middle photo is of the lovely Rose Mural in another area of this Very Grand Shop..
Then there is Marcia who kindly help me pick out the selection of yarns for My Something Pretty Blanket.
More of this Shop photos to come in the following weeks...
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and visit My Blog. Greatly appreciated.
Have a Happy Spring Week Everyone....

There is something lovely about a crocheted blanket on the settee. I've seen two of these made up, and they look stunning, I shall look forward to seeing yours when it's done

I hope that helped you. ;) I am not good at that.

Dear Judy, thank you for visiting and following my blog. I'm inspired by you creativity and want to start crocheting again after many years of not doing so.
You have motivated me to get some wool and start making blocks and a blanket.
