THE BEAUTY OF SPRING...
Yes our Beautiful American Robin has arrived in our front yard, surely Spring has arrived??? It is still pretty cold but we have lots of "Glorious Sunshine" and we are assured the temps will be warming up just in time for our Easter weekend.
Huge Very Big Smile.
We were away visiting family and friends and on our way home we stopped to visit Frankenmuth, Michigan our "Little Germany". The village was all grandly decorated for Easter and it was very lovely to see. I took a couple of photos but this is the only one that really look good.
While away I did a bit of crocheting for Easter. The yarn below is called "Sirdar Snuggly Crofter Baby Fair Isle effect DK.. It is such very lovely and soft yarn just perfect for babies.
I made a couple of baby head bands and I got the patterns from Ravelry...
The wee granny roses pattern came from Astri at "Apple Blossom Dreams"... Astri tutorial on how to create this rose is very easy and she also has a Utube tutorial for it too. Love it Astri...
I also made some young ladies head bands. I got the pattern for the one with the yellow rose from a book called. Head wraps by Sharlee Dayne and published by Leisure Arts...
I got the idea for the pony tail wrap from a flower made at the Grand Emporium Knitting Studio...
I also used Attic 24 May Rose tutorial for the very wee May Rose.. it is so lovely too.
Your take one of those pony tail wraps and make a single crochet stitch all around it and then make different number of chain stitches and attach them to the ring. I thought it was pretty neat.
I met the most lovely lady at the Grand Emporium Knitting Studio. She is so sweet and helpful. She knits and crochets most all of the samples in the shop..
I also have many lovely photos of this most Grand Knitting Studio I will share with you all in my next posting...
I have now visited this shop 3 times and each time I have come home with a "Grand" amount of yarn... LOL
I will share My New Stash with you all soon...and what I plan to create with it all....
I have discovered the most wonderful book and movie.. Thanks to My New Bogging Friend Diane at "Lavender Dreams"...
At Lavender Dreams Diane has post many very lovely photos of Marjorie Kennan Rawlings Florida State Park..
Here is also some more photos posted from the state park website...

I was just able to find this book from a library hours away from me so I have not finished it yet. BUT I am truly enjoying every page of it..
The author is Marjorie Kinnan Rawling and at the age of 32 she buys a Orange Grove In an isolated Old Florida Bayou called Cross Creek and starts to write about her life in this "Backcountry""..
BUT I have watched the Cross Creek DVD many times. OH, how I love this movie. It takes place in "Old Florida" where Marjorie lived for 13 years..
Mary Steenburgen is an excellent actress who plays the part of Marjorie.. I always enjoy watching movies from the by gone days so I would highly recommend this book and movie.
I wish you all a Very Happy and Joyful Easter Holiday.
Thanks for visiting My Blog and leaving your lovely comments for me to read. They are all greatly appreciated.
Hugs Judy

That is lovely yarn, the head bands are beautiful
how lovely to decorate the gardens for Easter, this is new to me, must admit it would not work here this year as we are still under snow.
The little head bands are delightful and love the sutle colours of the wool

You do the best blog posts, Judy. Lovely pictures as always and I love the decorated Easter tree. Different! Your crochet is looking good. The pony ring you have done is brilliant. All the best for Easter. Wishing you and your family peace and warmth. Di.
The baby head bands are super cute, and that yarn shop got me drooling. I love yarn - I don't crochet, but I knit, though not very much. I love to knit for my daughter's American Girl doll, and there are quite some patterns out there. Have a lovely Easter, Judy.
Easter Greetings! My that is a bright male robin!! We have them here all winter. Love the darling headbands..
