THE PINK SCARF PROJECT

HELLO EVERYONE,

I recently read about "THE PINK SCARF PROJECT" On Vicki's Blog called "2 BAGS FULL".  It is a  Wonderful and Kind project and I am Very Happy to donate a "Handmade with Love" scarf to this worthy  cause.

Please see " THE PINK SCARF PROJECT" BUTTON on the left side bar of my blog. Just click on the button and it will take you to "Vick's Blog" so you can read more about information  on this lovely project.

This is the scarf I created for "THE PINK SCARF PROJECT"!!

" THINK PINK" Crochet For The Cure! I bought this book from "Annie's Attic" a few years ago.  It has many lovely patterns in it.

I decided to crochet the pattern called "CELIA'S SCARF" by Andrea Lyn Van Benschoten.  Andrea stated in this book that she designed this scarf in honor of her MIL, who ended her battle with breast cancer in the early Summer of 1992. She said, I am truly honored to have this design in such an important book supporting breast cancer awareness, honoring the survivors and remembering those who have gone before us.

I hope the scarves from "The Pink Scarf Project" will serve as a reminder to each recipient that they are Loved and we are Praying for Them All... I also hope the scarves will bring a wee smile to their faces on days when they do not feel like smiling.

Many years ago a Long Time Dear Friend Thea from South Australia was diagnosis with Breast Cancer.  Thea is a "Survivor of 8 Years" and I would like to honor and  dedicate this blog posting to Thea. Love You Thea I am blessed to have you for a friend.

Hugs to ALL
Judy

Judy -- I just read your beautiful message about your scarf. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing this for the Pink Scarf Project. Your precious gift will mean so much to the person who receives it later this year. It will touch their life in ways we might not even think possible. I will let you know the minute it arrives. Im planning a huge post later this month - a beautiful post showing so many scarves -- yours will be included there also- if it makes it here in time. I love you for doing this! Vicki ps - your blog header is absolutely gorgeous!

Beautiful post. It is particularly touching to me right now as my DIL died last month of breast cancer. I'm not a great knitter or crocheter but will try to make a scarf for this worthy organization. Thanks for posting.

Hi Judy
The scarf is beautiful and unique and the thread you used is gorgeous.

My niece is a cancer survivor and has shared her very personal feelings about what she went through and how very much kind acts meant to her. I'm sure who ever receives your scarf will feel love.

Hi Judy, thank you for visiting my blog and your kind comment. You asked about Brunfelsia Inspired Crochet Flowers. I'll try to make a photo tutorial by the end of this months.

The scarf you made is very pretty. And it's great that it is for a good cause.

What a truly lovely post Judy. I totally adore your scarf, and the concept of such a project. I honestly had no idea such a wonderful project was going on. Thank you for drawing my attention to it. I will mention it to my sewing group.

Your scarf is beautiful BTW, as is all your work.

Happy New Year to you, and I am so sorry to be so quiet. As you may know, the heat has been fierce, and my office is not air conditioned.

Love ya, cheers.

This is a lovely scarf and I know it WILL bring, not only a smile, but a feeling of being thought about, loved and prayed over.
I thank you for taking the time to do this for one lovely lady. I pray others will want to make or buy a pretty pink scarf for the PINK SCARF PROJECT.

I just stumbled on to your post. I am so happy you liked the pattern! It was an honor to be included in such an important book. What made it even more special is that this was the first patter I had published. I thought it was just so fitting to remember in MIL this way.

Happy crocheting!
Andrea
