Please visit Denise's Blog to find all the wonderful blogs participating this whole week..

Thanks Denise for Hosting this Lovely Blog Hop...

Here is the schedule for today Monday September 23rd  Wool Lovers Blog Hop.

Monday, September 23
The Raspberry Rabbits

Stitching is My Passion...Sitting in My Comfy chair and stitching Brightens My Day and Soothes My Spirit..

I have loved working with wool for many many years.  For this event I only had time to put together 2 small projects..  Along the right side of My sidebar you will find some other wool projects I have created in the past...

I have been wanting to created a Autumn Door Hanger for years..I pieced this pumpkin together many years ago and then I store it away. I cannot even find the pattern anymore.  I recently found it and knew it was time to finish it.

Several days later and hours of stitching I have the Happy Autumn "Crazy Patchwork Pumpkin" door hanger.. I used 100% hand-dyed wools along with hand-dyed spun fibers..I added lots of bead to give it sparkle.

What do you all think??

Some of the stitches I used in the Crazy Patchwork Pumpkin are:
(1) Drizzle Stitch
(2) Blanket Stitch
    (3) Palestrina Stitch
(4) Running Stitch
(5) French Knot Beaded Stitch
(6) Chain Stitch
(7) Feather Stitch

I also made a "Heart Pincushion" with a Folk Art Autumn look.. I placed Autumn motifs on it to include a Pumpkin, Acorn, Leaves, Star, and A Handmade with Love symbol. I created this pattern myself.

HAPPY AUTUMN
I also created a small Autumn Bay Window display of some neat looking gourds and a pumpkin. A few days ago I crocheted 2 wee Pumpkin some Autumn Leaves and a Acorn. I also added a Wet Felted Pumpkin I made a few years back.

What do you think??

CELEBRATING 7 YEARS OF BLOGGING.
This Month I am "Celebrate 7 Years of Blogging by having a wee "Give Away" .....

This past Summer while I was caring for My Mom I spent the evening crocheting.  I fell in love with the "Granny Square Pincushion Pattern" by Emma. Emma's blog is called "LuLuLoves"  I made them in lots of sizes and colors. I simple could not stop making them.  LOL

I used the Granny Rose Pattern from Astri's blog called
 "Apple Blossom Dreams" ..
It is such a wonderful crochet Rose, I love it.

I made this pretty"Granny Square Heart" for the give away too. The pattern I found at Ulta's blog called,
"Paper  Wool and Yarn"..   I made 2 hearts and stitched them together and then added a pretty flower..

I made up this wee star fish for a gift in this give away too.

I found the "Simple Star" pattern at Rachel's blog called " Cornflower Blue Studio".

I took 2 of the crocheted Stars and crocheted them together and before I completed  this I stuff the middle to give it a 3D look and then added some beads....I really like this sweet little star turned into a "Star Fish"!!

I also love to do wet wool felting.  I used scented bar soap and wrapped in lovely wool roving and wet felted it. So very easy to make. This felted soap is also in the give away.

So I have 3 gifts to give away to "Celebrate My 7 Years of Blogging.
My Sweetie will draw 3 names and the gifts will be given in the order below.

(1st Prize)  Large Crochet Pincushion...

(2nd Prize)  Small Crochet Pincushion and Felted Scented Soap...

(3rd Prize) The Crochet Star Fish and Crochet Heart...

Here are the Details for My Give Away.

(1) Leave a comment on this posting.
(2) Bonus: Leave me another comment and tell me you are a Follower for an extra entry.
(3) The Give Away will close on September 29th @ 5PM
(4) Randomly chosen Winners will be announced on September 30th.
(5)  I will ship Internationally..

I value all My Blogging Friends and with these Wee Gifts "Handmade With Love"I hope they will show My Appreciation to you all.

So I am using up my Yarn Stash bit by bit.  Here is just some of the Encore Yarn I used this Summer.

Here are some of the other Granny Square Pincushion I also made for Christmas Pressies this year.

Hello Judy as always your blog is a delight to wander through, I have never seen the wet felted soap before how very lovely, I love autumn colours and your door hanger is very beautiful in it's autumn splendor.
So much to relook at also, I love to let my eyes wander down the right hand side too, the pomegranite table runner is stunning as is the country bucket.
You are very creative and each item on your blog shows how very much you enjoy your craft.
Thank you for sharing...Lyn in Melbourne, AUST

Wow, your post packed a lot of punch today! Love the pumpkin wall hanging. I never thought of doing some of those stitches in that larger thread size - really interesting look, and definitely fall! The wool pincushion is also fabulous, and the crocheted ones so cute. I can see why you made lots of them. Congratulations on blogging 7 years. Where does the time go? =)

Your handstitching is the most impressive I have ever seen! I am blown away by that folksy pincushion and the lovely pumpkin.
I have wanted to felt wrap a bar of soap but I was wondering after the soap is gone, what happens to the felt? Is it thrown away? :(

WOW!!! Seven years! Congratulations! I bet you never thought you'd have that much to say or share when you got started, I know I didn't. Love, love, love the granny square pincushions! I love pincushions anyhow but had never even thought about making one out of a granny square. I think it's great how blog hopping can be so inspiring and thought provoking. If I don't win one of these I might have to dig out my hooks, find some yarn, and add a few of these to my collection. Until then though, I'm crossing my fingers and hoping I'm fortunate enough to win one already made because I don't know how to do those flowers.

Prolific! I've always admired crochet but I can't seem to make a second row (it's always too tight!) So I'm a knitter/sewer/embroiderer and a seeker-out of crochet talent. How I dream of a white-background granny square afghan! Sigh.
