CROCHET ROSEY BUNNY SEA GLASS PENDANT FROM SEAHAM UK MY MAY GARDEN WINDING LANE BRACELET STASH BUSTER CHALLENGE

HELLO EVERYONE,

Meet Rosey the Spring Bunny.... I think she is a very sweet Bunny, what do you all think??

She was created with Encore Plymouth Yarn Knitted Worsted Wt. in 4 shades of a lovely Pink.
The Bunny is "The Green Dragonfly Tutorial".. The tutorial was a easy pattern to follow especially for a beginner like myself.

On "Attic 24" she was reading "Coming Home" by R. Pilcher a few weeks ago while she was on vacation.. I love reading and watching anything to do with the UK so I called up our local Library and to my great surprise they had several of her books.. Huge Smile

I was so captivated by this book I could hardly put it down.. LOVED it.

I plan to check out another one to read when we go on our holiday this Summer. Does anyone have a Very favorite of R. Pilcher books you all would recommend??

Oh, BTW the photo next to the book is a photo of our Lake Michigan Shoreline on a very gloomy, blustery cold day in May which turned into a snowy day..  You can see  the Thunder of the waves continuous  crashing onto the shore and then drawing away again..

I have "Never" seen it snow in May in Michigan..it only lasted a couple of hours but it was 2 hours to long. LOL

For the past year or so I've had a lovely obsession with Sea Glass. I love its sparkle, its colorful history and it many shapes and sizes.  This pendant was a gift to me all the way from Seaham, UK..

I really Loved this special Heart pendant because it had rare "Pink" piece of sea glass in it.

The pendant was created by Paula and bought from her Etsy shop called, "Peblsrock" and Paula's blog called "Peblsrock"... At this site Paula also tells you about the history of this Sea Glass..

Emma has a blog called, "Silverpebble" and Emma Etsy shop also has many other lovely pieces of jewelery to show everyone.  Also she tells about the wonderful sea glass history of Seaham UK.

My fingers have been very busy crocheting of late.  I finally found a simple pretty dish cloth pattern I could make.. I used yarn found in my stash  called "Sugar and Cream" called Tie Dye Stripes.
The colors reminded me of the "Sea" and the pattern to me looks like "Waves" and the white being the "white caps" foam hitting the beach.

I found the pattern on a blog called "Crochet Attic"  by Eileen. It was her Stash Buster Challenge posting.  It was a very easy and simple pattern which is just what I needed.

What do you all think?

I recently discovered a lovely new blog called,  Mr. Micawber's Recipe for Happiness".. aka Sue.

Sue's blog shows many lovely photos of her bike rides around Wisconsin and she always has her friend Tullulah the turtle with her.  vbg He is such a cutie.

Sue also has this most wonderful video tutorial on how to created the "Winding Lane Bracelet".. it was a bit challenging for me as a beginner but with Sue's help I made 2 lovely bracelets.  Thanks a million Sue for the wonderful tutorial.

I used Paton Grace yarn I had in my stash for a very long time in the colors of Coral and Wildberry.

What do you all think???

Today My Sweetie was mowing the lawn and edging when he came upon a wee baby bunny hiding behind my Snowball Bush.. He caught the wee bunny so he could show me and then he left him go to roam free again...Isn't she a sweet wee bunny??

Every Morning I take a walk around in my gardens and I always find something new blooming which always makes Me Happy.
Last week My Tulip Tree or Magnolia Bush was so glorious with all its lovely blooms.

My Frilly Tulips were also in bloom.  They are so unique, I just love them.

I've had several people stop while they are walking by our yard and ask what the 3 different shade of purple balls are made from near the tulips.

Believe it or not they used to be "Black" bowling balls... Now they are my pretty shades of purple "Garden Art".... I always get a reply,"Really"!!!  and they always smile too..

The other 2 bottom photos are Pottery Clay Balls I made several years ago in a My ONLY class I ever took in clay..   They were suppose to be perfectly "Round" but they are far from it.

I used wood stamp of roses and butterflies and pushed them into the clay.  My teacher was NOT impressed with my artistic ideas.. LOL

Hence I never went back and 3 years later some nice lady encouraged me to finish them. Hence more unique Garden Art.

I would also like to THANK all My Blogging Friends who so kindly stop by to visit my blog and leave your very lovely comments for me to read.  All very greatly appreciated.

A very blustery snowy day along the shores of Lake Michigan..

Thanks for stopping by my blog. It is nice to discover your blog as well. I love the sea glass necklace! I am going to go visit that Etsy shop. And snow in May is one of the more depressing things the planet can throw our way. I live in Canada, so I speak from experience. :-)

Hi Judy!
What a great visit/post! I'd never heard of R. Pilcher, but I think I'll check to see if our library has some of her books. Thanks for the recommendation.

Those bracelets are very, very pretty. I think I'm going to have to make a few of those. Thank you for including them here.

I just love the sea glass. And your lilac is stunning - I love the white flowers. The bunny is adorable.
Have a great week!

Love the bunny. My white lilacs got frost bit and only lasted a day or so and were brownish. Disappointing. Your blog is just full of news. You sure are busy. I just posted about sea glass on my blog.

Hi Judy
My favorite Rosamunde Pilcher book is The Shellseekers. I've read it several times and enjoy it just as much each time.
I lve your white lilacs. Lilacs don't grow too well here and I miss them. We had a beautiful lilac bush by our back door growing up and I loved the smell!

I've read so many of Rosamunde Pilcher's books. My all-time favorite by her is "The Shellseekers", I love that one! I also like "Winter Solstice" very much.

What fun garden art - and kudos on your creativity with the clay! It's lovely, no matter what your teacher said. (I love pink and purple too.)

White lilacs are so beautiful.

Hello Judy, How I love to wander through your blog. the wee bunny is so cute and look how gently Bill is holding it, I also love the Shell Seekers aand if I'm not mistaken Angela Lansbery played the main role in the movie of the same name. Judy each time I wander your blog and see you front fence I smile, I like the structure and flow of it, your white lilac bush is divine, if I close my eyes I can almost smeel the perfume coming from it, I had a deep purple one. And how could I not comment on the blustery conditions on Lake Michigan it looks fabulous so you find and glass along it's shores.

Some lovely things going on in your life right now - love the white lilac! I think everyone has mentioned The Shell Seekers as one of Rosamunde Pilcher's most well-known books. She was a favourite author of my mother.

Hey Judy, I love seeing the photos of the Lake. Makes me homesick. We're going down to Homer this weekend, so I'll get to enjoy some ocean time, but they don't get waves like the big lake. Thanks for the post.

Thanks for the book recommendation too. Always looking for a good read

We are having a cold spring too.

That crochet bunny is so adorable, and so is the one found in your garden. Love the pictures of your white lilacs.
Have a nice day!

I love your photo of the lake-it looks almost like the ocean. How sweet of your sweetie to show you the bunny. It's darling. I would have never thought of using bowling balls for garden art but I really like them. Especially because lavender/purple are my favorite colors.
Blessings,
Betsy

I like your bunny – you are talented. I finished my baby blanket in time before my daughter had her baby girl and while we were visiting her in Tennessee I had time to crochet a lap blanket (pictures of them on my current post.) Now my youngest grandson wishes to have a lap blanket too and my 2nd grandson wishes a blanket in the colors of his father’s university (Ga. Tech) so I am going to be busy. Several years ago I found a Rosamunde Pilcher book. I liked it so much that I bought several others in second-hand bookshops – I still have a couple to read (I must have bought 6 or more.) She is a great writer – I liked “September” and “Wild Mountain Thyme” – she writes great escape style books. Now I am going to go back and read those books I have not read yet, like the Shell Seekers which has been on my shelf for a while.

Aw Judy, so much good stuff all in one post. Bunnies, Mrs. M, lilacs and those bowling balls may be my favorite! What a great idea! What process did you use to get the paint to not chip, especially in the garden?

You live in a beautiful place...in spite of the snow. :-)

What a lovely blog. The baby bunny is very sweet. We are plagued with them in our garden, they eat everything that's not fenced off, but I still love watching them, especially when they've got little ones :)

Lake Michigan is cold in the summer, too, I remember. Great photos, Judy, especially the little bunny. Too bad they grow up with an appetite to match, eh? Your crocheted bunny is really cute. Was that bracelet crocheted or knitted. It looks like an interesting project.

Hi Judy!
So many wonderful and pretty things to see in this post. Especially the little bunny. ;)
It looks so cold along the lake. I can't even imagine snow in May. We hardly ever have snow here.
All your projects are lovely and so is your yard.
Hugs to you!
